Boston Whaler Outrage

Launched in 1979, the Outrage took the Boston Whaler unsinkable foam-cored hull offshore in earnest. With its deep-V forefoot, wide beam, and serious freeboard, it brought Whaler reliability to bluewater fishing without ever pretending to be anything other than a working boat.

Across its many lengths — the trailerable 17 and 18, the legendary 22 and 25, and the big-water 27 — the Outrage line shared a single character: an honest, dry, and almost stupidly tough center console you could fish all day, run home through chop, and still hose down before dinner.

Today the classic-era Outrage is one of the most sought-after used center consoles on the market. Hulls from the late 1980s and early 1990s, in particular, command premium prices when they come up for sale.
